S1 E5: Episode 5 | Bite-Sized Biblecast | A Few Steps Off the Path

December 16, 2024 ·

Bite-Sized Biblecast: A Few Steps off the Path

Episode Summary: In this episode of the True Grit podcast, host Rachel Grit explores the dangers of straying from God’s path, even by just a little. She discusses Proverbs 14:12, which warns that “there is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” Rachel emphasizes the deceptive nature of the enemy and how he can present temptations that seem right, but ultimately lead us astray. She shares her own personal experience of taking small steps off the path, and the significant consequences that followed. Rachel challenges listeners to examine the paths they are considering and the voices they are listening to, urging them to intimately know God’s voice to discern it from deception. She encourages regular scripture reading and the use of resources like the Bible app’s verse of the day to stay on the narrow path God has for them.

Meet Rachel

Meet Rachel
hello!

Hi! I'm Rachel. I'm a saved-and-redeemed Jesus lover, mama to one bio and two step kiddos, business owner, enneagram 7, and creative enthusiast. My motherhood journey abruptly became single motherhood when my son was 4 months old. It's been the hardest yet most fulfilling experience I've ever had. Motherhood, while beautiful, is often brutal, and single motherhood is in a league of its own. Whether you're a single mother by choice or by force, whether you're already on your own with your kiddos, sharing a home with a distant or absent parent, or gearing up to take on the challenge of single motherhood in the future, this is a space for you. You'll find resources on everything from navigating toxic relationships to creating your first budget to how to pursue self-employment for extra cash. My email inbox is always open if you have questions or need encouragement: rachel@rachelgrit.com You are so welcome here, sister.
